Billing & Pricing (Shopify-managed)

CatalogCare uses Shopify App Pricing (Managed Pricing) for all charges. Plan selection, approval, decline, and reinstall-reapproval are handled entirely by Shopify on Shopify-hosted pages.
How charges work
- The in-app Upgrade to Pro / Manage plan buttons open Shopify’s hosted plan-selection page (
admin.shopify.com/store/<store>/charges/<app>/pricing_plans) as a top-level redirect out of the embedded admin. - Merchants accept or decline the recurring charge on Shopify’s page.
- On reinstall without an active payment, the app shows Free and the same Upgrade path requests approval again.
Plans
- Free — $0/month. Manual catalog scans and fix previews.
- Pro — paid monthly. Expanded scan limits and automation.
The exact plans and prices are configured in Shopify Managed Pricing.
What CatalogCare does not do
- No off-platform billing or external payment links.
- No third-party or off-platform payment processors of any kind.
- No extra scopes for billing — the app uses only
read_products, write_products.
Free users keep full access to core scanning and fix-preview functionality; Pro features prompt an upgrade through Shopify rather than blocking the app.
